Brandon Marshall couldn’t catch a pass or a break Sunday, his
career-best 77-yard touchdown grab negated by a borderline push-off flag that
fueled Miami’s 26-17 win over the bedeviled Denver Broncos.
About the only thing the Broncos superstar caught Sunday was flack from Joey
Porter, the Miami motormouth who helped hold him to just two catches while the
Dolphins improved to 4-4.
“He’s one of those guys that if he don’t get the ball in the first two series in
the first quarter, he’s out of it,” Porter said. “He had 18 catches in a game
before. So he’s not used to going the whole first half with no balls. We got in
his head and he pretty much was done.”
On second thought …
“I didn’t get inside his head, we just were talkin’. He got in his own head. He
was done,” Porter said. “He’s one of those soft receivers, where he has to have
the ball all the time. If he don’t get it, he’s going to mope and cry. He did it
to himself.”...more

Preview:
The Denver Broncos had a pretty good bye week. After getting
several players healthy and managing to gain some ground in the AFC West
standings without playing, the first-place Broncos look to avoid a third
straight loss when they host the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. Denver (4-3) returns
to the field for the first time since being routed 41-7 by the New England
Patriots on Oct. 20. After starting the season 3-0 while averaging 38.0 points,
the Broncos have dropped three of their last four, scoring 14...more
Pick:
Hey the NFL predictor says Miami will win by one, I dont agree, the Broncos are
at home after a bye week so I think Denver can handle Miami's wrinkles, and may
just have a few of their own as they havent been scoring lately. The little
horsies own one of NFL's more distinct home-field edges, and the weasel Mike
Shanahan is 10-3, including five consecutive victories after a bye week. Denver
is error-prone and has a bad defense and is missing CB Champ Bailey. Broncos 31 - Dolphins 24
