Titans remain lone undefeated NFL team with 31-21 victory
over reeling Colts
Don’t call the Tennessee Titans the NFL’s best team just yet.
They’re happy with being the league’s last unbeaten club and grabbing a
chokehold on the AFC South away from the Indianapolis Colts.
LenDale White ran for two touchdowns, Chris Hope intercepted Peyton Manning
twice and the Titans routed the Colts 31-21 Monday night.
The Titans (7-0) have won an NFL-best 10 straight regular-season games, matching
the second-best streak in franchise history. More importantly, Tennessee took
control of the AFC South away from the team that has dominated this division in
winning the past five titles.
The Titans have won three of four in the series, and linebacker Keith Bulluck
said they made a statement with their latest victory.
“The Colts were the team to beat, and I think now, the Titans are the team to
beat,” Bulluck said...more

Preview:
The Tennessee Titans haven't faced many daunting obstacles
during the best start in franchise history, but they're well aware of the
challenge they face in Week 7 versus the defending AFC South champions. On
Monday night, the Titans aim to extend their unbeaten run as they match up
against the visiting Indianapolis Colts, winners of five straight division
titles. Tennessee (6-0) rolled to a 34-10 victory at Kansas City last Sunday,
stretching its NFL-best winning streak to nine games dating to last season...more
Pick:
It's conceivable that the Titans might start getting
over-confident, but it's tough to see that happening against a quality division
rival like Indy Titans 24 - Colts 17
Notable:
He's not the speediest back in
the NFL but LenDale White takes on an awful run defense here and has
scored in every game but one so far
Kerry Collins only averages 154 passing
yards, but the Titans are still favored thanks to Chris Johnson and
LenDale White who both average over 70 rushing yards
The Titans have built an impressive 6-0
record based on two old-school football principles: Defense and the
running game. They have held opponents to an average of 11 points per
game and have the AFC's best turnover margin at plus-6. They also boast
the No. 4 rushing attack in the NFL, with a league-high 11 TDs. They
haven't needed to pass much at all to win every game. Meanwhile, no one
in the league has a less productive running game than the Colts, and it
doesn't help Joseph Addai is out. That's put a lot of pressure on Peyton
Manning passing in a one-dimensional offense, which spells trouble
against opportunistic and good pass-rushing defenses. The Titans excel
at getting sacks and takeaways. Manning will do everything he can to
save the Colts, but this is a pretty bad road matchup for them
Until the Titans beat the Colts
head-to-head, not everyone will be convinced they're the class of the
AFC South. Well, with the Indy rush defense imitating a thin sheet of
paper, look for Tennessee to run all over the place in a surprisingly
easy and convincing victory
