For 2 1/2 quarters, the Washington Redskins and Cleveland Browns
produced lots of punts and no points.
Then Clinton Portis really started piling up the yards. Santana Moss starting
doing spin moves after catching the ball. London Fletcher led a huge goal line
stand. The Browns, not to be outdone, made things interesting with a late
touchdown, a 2-point conversion, and a field-goal attempt that was wide right
with 25 seconds to play.
After nearly putting the fans to sleep, two teams packed a lot into a little bit
of time Sunday. Portis broke the scoreless tie with a 3-yard run in the third
quarter and rushed for 175 yards on 27 carries, and Moss spun his way to an
18-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter as the Redskins beat the
Browns 14-11....

Preview:
The Cleveland Browns may have revived their season with an upset
of the defending Super Bowl champions. Now they have a chance to generate more
momentum when they try to knock off a tough NFC East team for the second
straight week. The Browns look to build on their big victory and even their
record when they face the Washington Redskins at FedEx Field on Sunday. A
popular pick to win the AFC North this season after going 10-6 and just missing
the playoffs last year, Cleveland (2-3) was a major disappointment through its
first four games, getting outscored 78-46 and losing its first three contests
before knocking off lowly Cincinnati...more
Pick: The Browns are coming off a game in which their
offense finally showed some spark while the Redskins performance last week
stunk. Neither team was exactly themselves last week and the Redskins are just
better than the Browns. Redskins 24 - Browns 20
Notable:
The Browns so many were buzzing about before the season finally
made an appearance in Monday night's victory over the previously unbeaten
Giants. Next up is another test against an NFC East opponent. The Redskins come
off a stunning loss to the Rams
