Jaguars get a 24-17 win over
the bumbling Broncos.

The Jacksonville
Jaguars didn’t need to play
keep-away from Denver this time,
just takeaway.
Playing their best all-around
game of the season, the Jaguars
got superb performances from
quarterback David Garrard and
running back Maurice Jones-Drew,
plus three takeaways by their
defense in a 24-17 win over the
bumbling Broncos on a cold,
misty Sunday.
Garrard completed 25 of 34
passes for 276 yards, one TD and
no interceptions and Jones-Drew
rumbled for 125 yards and two
TDs on 22 carries.
The Jaguars (3-3) also won at
Invesco Field last year, thanks
to a franchise-record 18-play,
80-yard drive that chewed up
nearly 12 minutes and set the
tone for a 23-14 thumping in
which they maintained possession
for nearly 40 minutes.
This time, they wasted no time
in sending the Broncos (4-2) to
their first home loss since last
Oct. 29 against Green Bay...more

and News
Preview:
The Denver Broncos haven't had a problem racking up yards this
season, ranking first in the AFC in total offense on the way to four wins in
their first five games.
They're banking on their latest victory being a sign of better things to come
from their defense.
Hoping their previously struggling defense has turned a corner, the Broncos will
try to improve to 4-0 at home when they face the struggling Jacksonville Jaguars
on Sunday at Invesco Field.
Denver (4-1) has surged to a two-game lead in the AFC West thanks to an offense
that's averaging 415.0 yards through its first five games. Jay Cutler and the
Broncos' passing attack have led the way, throwing for 296.8 yards per game, and
Cutler leads all AFC quarterbacks in passing yards (1,502) while he's tossed 10
touchdowns and just four interceptions.
As dominant as Denver's offense has been, though, its defense has been nearly as
bad. The Broncos are 29th in the league in total defense, allowing 388.4 ypg,
and they came into last week's game against Tampa Bay giving up 29.3 points per
game...
JAGUARS: The key
for the Jaguars is to win on first down. They need to get at least four
yards on first down so they avoid those second-and-eight and
second-and-10 situations. The Jaguars had an 18-play, 80-yard drive
against the Broncos last year that kept the Bronco offense off the
field. They need to have that kind of a drive in this game so Denver's
second-ranked offense can't go up and down the field against the Jaguars
defense...FULL

BRONCOS: The
Jaguars will try to run the ball and the Broncos will try to pass.
Neither team will be one-dimensional. David Garrard is a competent
quarterback for Jacksonville and Denver can run the ball. But they will
play to their strengths. And in Denver's case, passing the ball attacks
the weakness of the Jaguars' defense, which is against the pass...FULL
