Josh Scobee drilled the ball down the middle, gave his holder a
high-five and then jumped into the arms of left tackle Khalif Barnes.
It would have been more appropriate for Barnes to climb on Scobee’s back. After
all, the placekicker has carried the Jacksonville Jaguars to consecutive
wins—with plenty of help from quarterback David Garrard.
Scobee, who kicked a 51-yard field goal with 4 seconds remaining to beat
Indianapolis last week, hit a 37-yarder in overtime to give the Jaguars a 30-27
victory against the winless Houston Texans on Sunday...

This is one of those notorious sandwich games for the Jags, who
won a big division matchup with the Colts last week and host the Steelers next
Sunday night.
Jacksonville kicker Josh Scobee gave his team its first win of
the season last week. Running backs Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew, however,
were just as important in bringing the Jaguars the victory.
After a dominant rushing attack and a late field goal helped them barely avoid
their first 0-3 start in five years, the Jaguars look to build on their first
victory when they host the winless Houston Texans on Sunday...more
Inside the Game Plans:
Notable:
TEXANS:
Defensively, the Texans will try to take advantage of an offensive line
weakened by injuries. They will move DE Mario Williams around on
defense, even lining him up at linebacker to rush straight up the
middle. The Texans will try to get pressure from all angles on David
Garrard, who has already been sacked nine times. Offensively, the Texans
will try to run the ball and eat some clock up...FULL

JAGUARS: The
Jaguars put together the kind of game plan they like to use last week
when they ran for 236 yards against the Colts. They're a team that likes
to run and control the clock because their passing game isn't very
effective. They figure to do the same thing against the Texans, who are
27th against the run so they should be vulnerable...FULL
