Niners snap 6-game skid vs. Rams with 35-16 victory
Shaun Hill and the San Francisco 49ers’ beleaguered offense
clicked for just one quarter. Still, those 15 minutes were more than enough time
to bury the miserable St. Louis Rams.
Hill threw two touchdown passes and Frank Gore rushed for another during San
Francisco’s 28-point second quarter, and the 49ers snapped their six-game losing
streak with interim coach Mike Singletary’s first victory, 35-16 over the Rams
on Sunday...more

In a season full of drama
for the San Francisco 49ers,
Monday night's loss was just the
latest episode. The 49ers hope
to write a different chapter on
Sunday when they host the
equally woeful St. Louis Rams.
Two weeks after interim coach
Mike Singletary's postgame
tirade following their 34-13
loss to Seattle, the 49ers were
on the verge of winning their
first game since Sept. 21 on
Monday at Arizona. Allen
Rossum's 104-yard opening
kickoff return gave San
Francisco a lead it wouldn't
relinquish until 4:21

Prediction: The Rams travel
to San Francisco. This is a bad season for both franchises. Steven Jackson
is out again, and that offense without him is in a word horrible. This will
probably be a close game, but we will give the nod to the 49ers at home. Mike
Singletary made some bucks, prior to coaching, as a motivational speaker and he
practically motivated a win out of his guys last week against Arizona. This week
they get it done at home. 49ers 24 - Rams 20
