If there was any doubt the New York Giants rule the NFC East,
the Super Bowl champions erased it Sunday night.
Eli Manning threw two touchdown passes, Brandon Jacobs had two TD runs and the
Giants held on to beat the Philadelphia Eagles 36-31 and further distance
themselves from the pack in the NFL’s toughest division.
The Eagles had the ball at their own 45 with 1:55 left, but Brian Westbrook was
stopped on fourth-and-1.
The Giants (8-1) are two games ahead of the Washington Redskins and three in
front of the Eagles (5-4) and Dallas Cowboys. New York is 3-0 against its
division rivals...more

Preview:
Either the New York
Giants will prove they are
clearly the class of the NFC, or
the Philadelphia Eagles will
show they are true contenders in
the conference. A road win over
a surging Eagles squad on Sunday
night would further eliminate
any doubt that the Giants go
into the second half of the
season as the favorites to get
back to the Super Bowl. Many
already consider New York (7-1)
to be the favorite, being the
defending champion and having
the best record in the NFC...more
Pick: This is going to be
one exciting game, with the Giants heading down to play in front of the hostile
road crowd. Manning will need his 'A' game, as the Eagles know how to put the
pressure on. This should be a close game and we will go with the home team.
However the Giants cover. Eagles 21 - Giants 20
