Previews:
Coming off a season in which
their quarterback went to prison
and their new coach deserted
them, the Atlanta Falcons aren't
expecting Matt Ryan and Mike
Smith to bring them back to the
Super Bowl.

rookie quarterback and
first-year coach each make their
debut in a season-opening game
against the visiting Detroit

Oakland Raiders, the Falcons
might have a hard time matching
up with Johnson and Williams.
The Lions will want to take
advantage of a shaky Atlanta
line and get some heat on rookie
quarterback Matt Ryan in his
first NFL start...

FALCONS: The Falcons
must run the ball in order to
keep pressure off of Matt Ryan,
who's making his first start in
the NFL. They will have to pick
some spots early for Ryan to
pass in order to keep the Lions
honest. Otherwise, they'll just
pack eight in the box and get
after running backs Michael
Turner and Jerious Norwood...
