Recaps |
Falcons win an ugly game
over 49ers 20-16.
Pretty, it wasn't. But the
Falcons will take a win any way
they can this year and an
emerging running game did the
trick in a battle with the
fellow also-ran 49ers.
Warrick Dunn turned in
Atlanta's first 100-yard rushing
performance of the year and
DeAngelo Hall caught the last of
three interceptions by 49ers
quarterback Alex Smith to seal
the win for the Falcons.
San Francisco lost its sixth
in a row with another dismal
offensive performance. Playing
without leading rusher Frank
Gore and a banged-up Smith, the
49ers failed to score 20 points
for the eighth straight game.
