As bad as
the Raiders played on offense
against the Titans, they still
had a shot to win in the game's
final two minutes. But
Tennessee's defense sacked
quarterback Daunte Culpepper and
then held on fourth down to
preserve a 13-9 win.
After sleepwalking on offense
in the first half, the Titans
found a running game to
complement their stout defense.
LenDale White rushed for 133
yards and rookie Chris Henry
added 48 yards and a touchdown.
But it was Tennessee's defense
that carried the day, sacking
Culpepper five times and
limiting mistake-prone Oakland
to three field goals.
The Raiders (2-5) lost for
the 14th time in their last 15
road games, while the Titans
(5-2) won for the 10th time in
13 games dating to last season..more
