Bengals rally in a big way
to come from behind and defeat
Jets 38-31
It took the Bengals nearly three
quarters to come alive, but when
they did the Jets didn't know
what hit them.
Cincinnati reeled off 28
unanswered points to overcome a
13-point deficit and win 38-31,
snapping a four-game losing
streak and leaving New York fans
scratching their heads.
The Jets scored on their
first five possessions, and led
23-10 late in the third quarter.
That's when the bottom fell out
for New York (1-6), which got
three touchdown passes from Chad
Pennington, including one in the
game's waning seconds.
Kenny Watson ran for 130
yards and three touchdowns, and
Johnathan Joseph thwarted a Jets
comeback with a 42-yard
interception return for a
touchdown for the Bengals (2-4).
Brett Favre set a career high and tied Joe Namath’s Jets mark with six touchdown passes, including three to Laveranues Coles, and New York took advantage of a series of mistakes by Arizona in a big second quarter before holding on to beat the Cardinals 56-35 on Sunday....

Favre’s arrival drastically changes the Jets 2008 preview but it does not change the prediction: New York is still second best in the AFC East. They’re apparently bent on winning now though. Brett Favre is the key of course, but its going to be tough to even get a wildcard this year. We think maybe the football gods smile on the Jets this year though...
