Chris Redman gave the Falcons
the quarterback play Atlanta has
been missing all season. Redman
set a career high with four
touchdown passes, including two
to Alge Crumpler, and the
Falcons rode three
fourth-quarter touchdowns to a
44-41 victory over the Seahawks,
who had nothing to play for in
the season finale.
The Falcons ended a six-game
losing streak, giving interim
coach Emmitt Thomas his first
win in three tries...FULL

Preview: For some
reason, Seattle coach Mike
Holmgren still regrets resting
his players at the end of the
2005 season. Now, however, he's
got a similar decision to make.
The NFC West champion Seahawks
will get one last tuneup for the
playoffs on Sunday when they
visit the woeful Atlanta
Falcons. Seattle (10-5) has
already clinched the No. 3 seed
in the NFC and will face the No.
6 seed in the first weekend of
the playoffs regardless of the
outcome of this game...Full
StoryInside the Game Plans:
SEAHAWKS: Against a team
that has lost six straight and
endured one of the most
difficult seasons in recent
memory, the Seahawks should be
able to win this game just by
stepping on the field. They are
likely, however, to focus on
their run game, which got
untracked last week against
Baltimore and is facing the
25th-ranked run defense this
week. If that is not successful,
Matt Hasselbeck will likely get
some throws to get a lead, then
be rested in the second half...FULL

FALCONS: The Falcons
will need to be stout on defense
between the tackles because
Seattle is starting to run the
ball more efficiently and it
wants to ease any burden on
quarterback Matt Hasselbeck
heading into the playoffs.
Atlanta is relatively bare bones
at defensive tackle, although
Jonathan Babineaux is coming off
a very strong game against
Arizona.
Offensively, expect the
Falcons to utilize a controlled
passing game to set up the run.
With Joe Horn replacing
impressive rookie Laurent
Robinson as the starting wide
receiver opposite Roddy White,
the Falcons likely will be less
vertical in the passing game...FULL
