Postgame Recap, Storylines,
and News |
For the Bengals, 2007 could have
been much better. For the
Dolphins it couldn't have been
any worse. Carson Palmer passed
for 316 yards and three
touchdowns, two to Chad Johnson,
and Cincinnati won 38-25,
handing Miami its 15th loss of
the season and the worst finish
in franchise history.
The Dolphins became the
eighth team to finish 1-15 and
flopped in their audition for
Bill Parcells, who started work
Thursday as executive vice
president of football
operations...FULL

Preview: The Miami
Dolphins will close a miserable
season at home Sunday against
the Cincinnati Bengals. The work
needed to rebuild, however, may
already be starting. Regardless
of Sunday's outcome, Miami
(1-14) will finish with the
fewest wins in franchise
history. After starting the year
0-13, the Dolphins won their
first game by beating the
Baltimore Ravens 22-16 on Dec.
16, but they followed that
victory with a 28-7 loss to the
New England Patriots last
Sunday...Full

BENGALS:
The Bengals have a history of
making inexperienced
quarterbacks look good, the most
recent example being San
Francisco's Shaun Hill in his
first NFL start. The Bengals

DOLPHINS:
Offensively, expect either Cleo
Lemon or John Beck to take some
shots downfield against a
secondary that's given up 27
touchdown passes. Defensively,
Miami, led by Joey Porter and
Jason Taylor, who have 16.5
sacks between them, must apply
blitz pressure on Carson Palmer
so he doesn't have all day to
hit star receivers Chad Johnson
and T.J. Houshmandzadeh, who
leads the NFL with 103
receptions...FULL
