Tampa Bay rested most of its
starters Sunday, while the
Panthers ended their
disappointing season with a win
in what figured to be Vinny
Testaverde's last game.Matt
Moore passed for two touchdowns
in just his third pro start, and
DeAngelo Williams rushed for 121
yards as Carolina (7-9) beat the
Bucs 31-23, sending Tampa Bay

Preview: The Tampa
Bay Buccaneers are heading back
to the playoffs, and coach Jon
Gruden wants to make sure his
team is still healthy once the
regular season ends. Gruden's
starters will likely see only
limited action on Sunday when
the Buccaneers wrap up the
regular season at home against
the Carolina Panthers. With the
NFC South title already wrapped
up, Gruden removed most of his
key players in the second half
of Sunday's game against San
Francisco, even though Tampa Bay
(9-6) still had a chance to earn

StoryInside the Game Plans:
PANTHERS:
The Panthers will continue to be
pretty vanilla on offense with
rookie QB Matt Moore running the
show. Carolina is also trying to
work in as many rookies as
possible. Ryan Kalil will start
at center for Justin Hartwig,
which means the Panthers have a
rookie center-quarterback
tandem. Look for the Panthers to
try to establish the run.
Defensively, they will be
blitzing all out looking to
force bad decisions by Jeff
Garcia...FULL

BUCS:
This might be a different game
plan than usual for the Bucs
considering that many of their
starters will be sidelined.
Quarterback Luke McCown could
get the start and is certain to
play extensively. McCown has
struggled protecting the
football. Because the Bucs
receivers are banged up, Tampa
Bay could feature TE Jerramy
Stevens, who caught two
touchdowns against the 49ers.
Defensively, the Bucs will
try to put some pressure on
quarterback Matt Moore, who is
making only his third NFL start.
But first Tampa Bay has to try
and contain Carolina running
backs DeShaun Foster and
DeAngelo Williams...FULL
