Redskins looking a playoff berth
in the face, needing to win for
a trip to the postseason.
Washington had to beat Minnesota
just to keep its playoff hopes
alive — and they did just that.
Todd Collins went 22-of-29
for 254 yards and two touchdown
passes, and Clinton Portis added
two more touchdowns — one
rushing and one passing — for
the Redskins, who need to beat
the Cowboys in Week 17 to reach
the playoffs.
Tarvaris Jackson threw two
interceptions, but did account
for three total touchdowns,
while rookie Adrian Peterson
gained just 27 yards on the
ground for the Vikings, who need
to win and have Washington lose
or tie in Week 17 for a playoff
