Patriots keep rolling toward undefeated season with 28-7 victor over Dolphins

Postgame Recaps, Storylines, and News

Recap: The Patriots set an NFL record with their 15th win. Tom Brady and Randy Moss edged closer to two more marks. And New England still has one game left to reach an even more amazing goal: the first team to finish a regular season undefeated in 35 years.

Brady threw three touchdown passes, two to Moss, and the Patriots beat the Miami Dolphins 28-7 on Sunday to improve to 15-0, the best start in league history. The old mark: Miami's 14-0 in 1972 when the season lasted just 14 games

Pregame Previews, Storylines, and News

Preview: Until last week, the Miami Dolphins had not won a game since beating the New England Patriots more than a year ago. The Patriots still have not lost a regular season game since that one. That leaves them with a chance going into Sunday's matchup with the Dolphins to become the first team in NFL history to go 15-0, and get within one win of a perfect season by knocking off the only franchise to complete one. New England can also match its own league record for consecutive regular season victories at 18, a streak it achieved during the 2003 and 2004 seasons...Full Story

Cheating carries a high, long lasting price for Belichick and Patriots
The punishment is in and it appears that the league has decided that cheating the rules which has happened for a long time in the NFL is going to carry some serious consequences. New England coach Bill Belichick was fined the NFL maximum of $500,000 Thursday and the Patriots were ordered to pay $250,000 for spying on an opponent's defensive signals. The commissioner also ordered the team to give up next year's first-round draft choice if it reaches the playoffs and second- and third-round picks if it doesn't. If the Patriots lose their first-rounder next season they still will have a first-round pick, obtained from San Francisco in the deal that brought Moss from Oakland.
