BRONCOS: The Texans are
beat up at quarterback and
tailback, but at least backup
quarterback Sage Rosenfels has
played some. So if the Broncos
assume the Texans will come out
passing, they have to figure out
if it's better to lay back
against the pass or stick an
eighth player in the box, as
they have been doing, to protect
their run defense.
Offensively, the Broncos are
thrilled to have a full
backfield again, and will run
the ball. Selvin Young and
Travis Henry should split
carries. The Texans know full
well what is coming -- they run
the same offense -- but the
challenge is stopping it. Denver
will also take some shots
against Houston's cornerbacks...FULL

TEXANS: Offensively, the
Texans will once again focus on
playing cleanly and not turning
the ball over. Rosenfels will be
at quarterback and likely need
to rely mostly on the passing
game. The Broncos have a soft
run defense, but the Texans are
without their best backs. Even
though Ron Dayne may start, he
will not be healthy enough to
shoulder the load. Rookie Darius
Walker will have a big
opportunity to prove he belongs
in the NFL.
Defensively, the Texans must
get after Jay Cutler and try to
throw him off his routine. They
must also play the same stout
run defense that they did
against Tampa Bay. The defensive
line wreaked havoc for Tampa Bay
last week, and the Texans will
have to have a repeat
performance to put together a
win on primetime...FULL
