The Giants are playing like a
team making all the right moves,
while the Eagles can't seem to
catch a break. Eli Manning threw
a 20-yard TD pass to Plaxico
Burress and Lawrence Tynes
kicked three field goals as New
York hung on to beat
Philadelphia 16-13.
The Eagles' David Akers
missed a 57-yard-field goal
attempt with one second left
that would have forced overtime
after Donovan McNabb drove the
team 50 yards in the final
minute.
The Giants (9-4) have all but
eliminated the Eagles (5-8) from
playoff contention with their
sixth consecutive win on the
road. New York is almost locked
into the No. 5 seed in the
conference with three games
left.

GIANTS:
The Giants feel they can run the
ball against the Eagles'
above-average defense, and if
that is successful (burly
Jacobs, 6-4 and 266, is ready to
return), they'll be able to pass
with somewhat more ease. QB Eli
Manning continues to look for WR
Plaxico Burress downfield, but
the extent of Burress'
season-long ankle sprain has
diminished his downfield speed.
Now Manning uses more of the
medium-range passes to WR Amani
Toomer and TE Jeremy Shockey.
Defensively, the last time
the teams met (Sept. 30), the
Giants piled up a team-record 12
sacks, including a team-record
six by DE Osi Umenyiora. It was
Donovan McNabb, who is once
again healthy and scheduled to
start, who absorbed all of those
sacks. "Every week is a new
season," says Umenyiora, "and
you can't expect anything to
happen that happened before."...FULL

Its not often you see a team picking last have a really good draft, but the Giants did very well, they locked in on FS Kenny Phillips early on and didn't stray...
Eli Manning finally proved that he is more than just Peytons little brother. He led his team to the biggest upset in Super Bowl history. Sure, the spread was bigger when the Patriots upset the Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI, but the spread is just a number. This years Pats were supposed to be the first team since the 72 Dolphins to go undefeated. The Giants werent supposed to make the playoffs...
