All's back to normal out West.
Matt Hasselbeck threw four
touchdown passes - the most of
his soaring season - and the
Seattle Seahawks clinched their
fourth consecutive NFC West
title with an emphatic, 42-21
victory over Arizona on Sunday,
ending the supposedly upstart
Cardinals' quest for their first
division title since 1975.
Seattle (9-4) stormed to a
24-0 lead midway through the
second quarter and cruised to
its fifth consecutive victory,
its longest streak since a
team-record 11-game run two
seasons ago that helped the
Seahawks reach their first Super
Bowl. This current streak has
come since coach Mike Holmgren
declared he was ditching most of
a stalled running game and
relying on Hasselbeck's passing.
Hasselbeck completed 22 of 33
for 272 yards and no
interceptions to stay on pace
for team records in attempts,
completions and yards. He is
completing 63 percent of his
passing and has 11 touchdowns
with just three interceptions
during this winning streak,
which has reversed what had been
a maddeningly inconsistent
season.

CARDINALS: With their
uncertainty at receiver, the
Cardinals likely will employ the
same offensive game plan they
did last week. They'll try to
control the clock with the

They will try to incorporate
tight ends Ben Patrick and
Leonard Pope into the passing
game, and get running back J.J.

On defense, the Cardinals

SEAHAWKS: Even though
the Seahawks went back to a more
balanced attack against
Philadelphia last week, they
should return to the pass this
week. The Cardinals are 24th in
the league in pass defense, and
they have lost star defensive
back Adrian Wilson, giving Matt
Hasselbeck less fear about
Arizona's secondary. Also,
defensive coordinator John
Marshall may send everybody
after immobile Kurt Warner,

The Cardinals had a nice enough draft. They have been drafting well for years now and it makes no sense how a team with this much talent always falls short
OK we know the Seahawks seem to have a lock on the West, but this is some ridiculous drafting, its almost like Holmgren was making the picks and laughing his ass off knowing he wouldn't be around to pay for it later...
