Chargers bolt to top of AFC West
with 24-10 road victory over
fast falling Chiefs.

LaDainian Tomlinson and the
Chargers' defense gave their
team a much-needed spark on the
road Sunday.
The Chargers entered their
game at Kansas City with a 1-4
record on the road. But after
getting 177 yards rushing from
Tomlinson and eight sacks from
their defense, they left with a
vital divisional victory and a
narrow lead in the muddled AFC
West.
Tomlinson scored on runs of
31 and 28 yards and the Charger
defense shut Kansas City out in
the second half as San Diego
improved to 7-5.
Since a 30-16 loss to Kansas
City plunged them to 1-3 on
Sept. 30 and triggered an outcry
against Coach Norv Turner, the
Chargers have gone on a 6-2
spree.

West-leading Chargers look to
continue their playoff push

City as they face the stumbling
