Postgame Recaps, Storylines,
and News |
The Raiders ended nearly three
years of frustration Sunday by
finally finding a way to beat an
AFC West opponent.
Justin Vargas rushed for 139
yards, including a 14-yard
scoring run with 9:34 remaining
that turned out to be the
game-winner, as the Raiders
ended a streak of nine
consecutive losses to the Chiefs
and 17 successive defeats to AFC
West foes.
The Raiders hadn't beaten
anybody in their division since
a 25-24 squeaker over Denver on
Nov. 28, 2004, the longest
ongoing streak of divisional
futility in the NFL.
