The Saints and their split
personality are alive and well
after a convincing 31-6 win over
the punchless Panthers on
Sunday.
New Orleans followed four
losses to open the season with
four wins and then two losses.
Now the Saints (5-6) are back in
the win column, and it was
quarterback Drew Brees who led
the way against Carolina (4-7)
throwing for 260 yards and three
touchdowns.
Panthers quarterback David
Carr was ineffective in relief
of injured starter Vinny
Testaverde, throwing for 95
yards and serving up two
interceptions.

struggles. After winning its
division for the first time in
six years en route to the first
NFC championship game in
franchise history last season,
New Orleans dropped its first
four games this year and a
return to the playoffs appeared
to be very much in jeopardy...more
