The Dolphins hung with the
Steelers for 59 1/2 minutes, but
Jeff Reed's 24-yard field goal
with 17 seconds left gave
Pittsburgh a 3-0 victory.
Weather and field conditions
played a role in the league's
lowest-scoring game since 1993.
A lightning and heavy rain
delayed the start of the game.
The rain washed away nearly
all the yard lines on a new
grass field that had been in
place less than 24 hours.

Parker needs just 75 yards to

On offense, Dolphins rookie
QB John Beck will be checking

STEELERS: If the
Steelers can do it early, they
will run on the Miami Dolphins
and keep on running to give
their quarterback a much-needed
break. The Dolphins are the
worst defense against the run in
the NFL, but that may be a bad
omen because the Broncos and
Jets also were last in run
defense at the time the Steelers
played them and Pittsburgh lost
both games.
Defensively, the Steelers
will try to harass rookie
quarterback John Beck and
confuse him, although they don't
normally do it as well without
