Adrian who? Chester Taylor's 202 total yards, 3 TDs lift Vikings to win over hapless Raiders 29-22

Game Storylines and Recaps

The Vikings' offensive line is proving as valuable as the running backs they open holes for. With Adrian Peterson sidelined by a knee injury, backup Chester Taylor rushed for 164 yards as Minnesota outlasted the Raiders.

Quarterback Tarvaris Jackson also turned in a solid performance as Minnesota overcame five fumbles that kept Oakland in the game. The Vikings secondary had to bat away a potential tying Daunte Culpepper bomb in the end zone to end it.

Beyond the field position afforded by turnovers, the Raiders once again failed to muster much offense. Culpepper finished with over 300 yards passing but found the end zone just once on the afternoon.

The Minnesota Vikings didn't fare too well when Adrian Peterson was shut down and knocked out of last week's game. They'll have to find a way to play much better Sunday without their star rookie running back taking the field at all. With Peterson missing at least one game due to a torn lateral collateral ligament in his knee, the Vikings (3-6) look to get back on track when they host the Oakland Raiders (2-7), who will have Daunte Culpepper starting at quarterback in his first game against his former team...more
