Favre shows he is still miles ahead of Testaverde in matchup of veteran QBs. Packers Roll 31-17

Game Storylines and Recaps

Brett Favre won the senior bowl, throwing three touchdowns in the Green Bay Packers' 31-17 victory over fellow passing patriarch Vinny Testaverde and the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

It was Favre's 62nd career game with at least three touchdown passes, tying yet another of Dan Marino's records. The 44-year-old Testaverde and 38-year-old Favre formed the oldest starting quarterbacks duo in NFL history.

It was the first of three games in 12 days for the Packers (9-1), who play at Detroit on Thanksgiving and at Dallas the following Thursday. It was only the second road loss of the season for the Panthers (4-6), who are winless at home.

Brett Favre has won three MVP awards and a Super Bowl title, and is the NFL's career leader in touchdown passes and wins by a quarterback. Yet even with all he's accomplished in his 17-year career, the 38-year-old Favre may be at his best in 2007. He'll try to lead his team to a 9-1 start for the first time Sunday as the Packers host the struggling Carolina Panthers at Lambeau Field. Not much was expected from Green Bay this season even though the Packers closed out 2006 with four straight wins.
