Bengals defense steps up
in 21-7 victory over Ravens.
The Ravens made the otherwise
porous Bengals defense look
downright stingy. Cincinnati
held Baltimore scoreless for 58
minutes Sunday to make the
Bengals' repeated failures in
the red zone a moot point.
Carson Palmer passed for 271
yards, setting up a
Bengals-record seven field goals
for kicker Shayne Graham -- none
longer than 35 yards. The
Ravens, meanwhile, were done in
by six turnovers, including four
lost fumbles. Only a late
47-yard Kyle Boller pass to Mark
Clayton prevented Baltimore from
being shut out.
