continued his historic season in
the Pats' first playoff game of
2008, going 26-of-28 for 262
yards and three TDs as New
England downed Jacksonville and
advanced to the AFC title game.
Laurence Maroney helped the
Pats control the tempo by
gaining 122 yards on 22 carries,
scoring one touchdown, against
the Jags defense. He out-rushed
Jacksonville's two-headed attack
of Fred Taylor and Maurice
Jones-Drew, who combined to gain
just 66 yards on 19 carries,
with zero touchdowns.
David Garrard played well,
going 22-of-33 for 278 yards and
two TDs, but threw a late
interception that put the game
away for the Patriots...
