Tennessee Titans 2008 NFL Draft and
Free Agency Team Needs
The top needs for the Titans to fill
in the upcoming draft and free agency.
Wide receiver:
The Titans have been wary of using first-round picks on the position, long a
problem spot for the franchise. Odds are a draft pick won't have the
immediate impact they need. If the Titans hope for Vince Young to develop to
his full potential, they need to get him a true franchise wide receiver
Tight end:
A two-way tight end who can be a reliable target for quarterback Vince Young
will help take pressure off receivers and open things up for the run game.
They signed Alge Crumpler, who used to be pretty good, but who knows what he
has left after last years injury problems and they should look for a young
one he can teach.
Defensive end:
Both Antwan Odom and Travis
LaBoy left as free agents, Bryce Fisher is not really starting material and
at this point who knows what they expect to get out of the aging Jevon
Kearse they need to find suitable replacements for a tandem that produced 14
sacks in 2007
Cornerback
— Even if he is reinstated by the league, it's not likely Adam "Pacman"
Jones will ever play for the Titans again, so another solid cover corner is
needed.
