 2008 Team Needs

Pittsburgh Steelers
2008 NFL Draft and Free Agency Team Needs

The top needs for the Steelers to fill in the upcoming draft and free agency.

Offensive line: The performance of the line slipped for the second consecutive year and now they will have lost perennial Pro Bowler Alan Faneca and although they used the transition tag on Max Starks, they are getting really thin all along the line at this point.

Wide receiver: At 32, Hines Ward is still going strong, but they'll look to groom a replacement. They'd like either a tall receiver or a fast one who also can return punts and/or kickoffs

Cornerback — With Ike Taylor, Deshea Townsend, and Bryant McFadden on the roster, this isn't a huge need, but another reliable corner for depth would be helpful, and this could also be where the kick returner comes from.
