Philadelphia Eagles 2008 NFL Draft and
Free Agency Team Needs
The top needs for the Eagles to fill
in the upcoming draft and free agency.
Wide Receiver:
Reggie Brown's a #2 at best, but Kevin Curtis is probably better suited for
a #3 role ore even really a number four. Until the Eagles acquire a
franchise No. 1 wide receiver, the talents of their quarterbacks will be
wasted
Cornerback / Safety:
When he's healthy, Lito Sheppard is a Pro Bowl-caliber corner. But thats
assuming a lot since he is so often not healthy. Sheldon Brown is OK as the
team's second corner, but not what you want to see as he would be more
suited to be a nickel back. Don't forget the need to groom a replacement for
Brian Dawkins, who will be 35 next season, shouldn't be overlooked
Offensive Tackle:
Winston Justice hasn't proven he can replace Thomas on the left side when he
leaves. He is going to be fine on the right, but a left tackle must be
drafted.
Defensive end:
The Eagles need another top pass-rusher
Special Teams:
They could upgrade at punter, and Jeremy Bloom is
obviously not the answer at return man, they may be able to add a corner who
can handle returns.
