Wide receiver:
The Jets need a speedster who can
stretch defenses, something they haven't had since trading Santana Moss.
Offensive line: 53 sacks last
year tells the story better than anything. The Jets need starters at both
left guard and right tackle
Defensive End: The Jets need
a physical but quick 3-4 defensive end who can overpower blockers, bull-rush
the passer, and stuff the run. Chris Long would be a great fit, and that
would allow the Jets to move Shaun Ellis to the rush outside linebacker
position eliminating the need for another linebacker. This is an either or
need, as Ellis can play the front, but he really would be better off the
linebacker position.
Outside linebacker: In the
NFL who doesn't want a speed rusher? The pass rush was spotty and speed off
the edge is needed
Inside Linebacker: The Jets
need a large inside linebacker to pair with David Harris. Vilma isn't it and
should be playing in a Tampa 2 defense.
Offensive Line: D'Brickashaw
Ferguson (OT) and Nick Mangold (OC) were added last year in the draft, if
they can get a run blocking Tackle and some guard back ups to pair with
those two they will be set for years to come.
