 2008 Team Needs

Cincinnati Bengals
2008 NFL Draft and Free Agency Team Needs

The top needs for the Bengals to fill in the upcoming draft and free agency.

Defensive Line: Robert Geathers has really been a nice surprise and is entrenched on one side but franchise player Justin Smith left for the 49ers and must be replaced. Marvin Lewis said the team needs to put more pressure on quarterbacks, and its 22 sacks in 2007 made the Bengals the worst in the NFL on sacks per pass play. Look for them to go after lots of line help.

Free Safety — If Madieu Williams went to the Vikings via free agency, so the Bengals will have a huge hole to fill at free safety.

Wide Receiver — With his off-field issues, Chris Henry can't be counted on to be around an entire season. A third wide receiver behind T.J Houshmandzadeh and Chad Johnson would allow the team to cut ties with Henry
