OAKLAND RAIDERS 2008 NFL DRAFT RECAP
Let us preface this by saying we love DMC, that said, that was not what the Raiders needed. They needed a DT. Instead they took the speedy McFadden and left the best player in the country go to the division rival Chiefs who had as much need as they did. Then they took a big reach on CB Tyvon Branch and already had added DeAngelo Hall in trade, they continued to reach throughout the draft and NEVER addressed the DT need at all. Well, at least Chiefs fans still can have some hope, Raiders fans, not so much

Overall Grade: D- (It would be an F, but McFadden will be fun to watch)

Pairing up McFadden with last years number one Jamarcus Russell will give the Raiders a backfield combo to fear for years to come.

Notes: McFadden finished as the runner-up for the 2007 Heisman Trophy for the second year in a row. D-Mac is the most decorated player in Arkansas history, and holds virtually all of the universities rushing records, and is also in a number of the SEC's all-time top 10 rushing spots.
