Tennessee Titans Team Needs - 2007 NFL Draft and Free Agency
 Sponsors

Wide Receiver - Vince Young needs somebody to throw to. Drew Bennett doesn't cut it as a #1 guy, and although Brandon Jones, Bobby Wade, and Courtney Roby make up a young core of receivers while this current group is young and features some talent a number one receiver is needed

Offensive Line -  Tennessee needs to protect Young by replacing one or both of their starters at offensive tackle. and one or both offensive guards. Then there is the case of center Kevin Mawae, who is going to turn thirty-six shortly. The Titans will need to start thinking about possible replacement for Mawae, who has also had a significant injury in the recent past.

Defensive Line - Head-case Albert Haynesworth probably doesn't figure into the team's long-term plans. Even with him, the D-line is awfully shaky and a pass-rusher to complement Kyle Vanden Bosch would be a nice addition. There is depth on the in the trenches, but the quality of talent can be improved upon.

Middle Linebacker - Peter Sirmon is average-at-best. Putting a good player between Bullock and Thornton would really shore up this defense, but filling every hole on defense is not going to be possible so this is probably not the year to make a change in the middle.

Defensive Backs - Chris Hope has established himself at safety, but it's unclear who he'll be paired with in 2007. As for Cornerback, it looked like Pacman Jones was coming around, but can he be counted on now?

Tennessee Titans Free Agency Notes:

Cornerback already was high on the list before Adam ''Pacman'' Jones' recent involvement in a Las Vegas triple shooting. Now the Titans may have to overspend to grab a top cornerback in case Jones isn't available or they finally lose patience and release or trade him. A defensive end to ease pressure on Kyle Vanden Bosch would help, and they need to re-sign Smith. Receiver is the other top focus. Bennett is ready to see how much money a once undrafted free agent can earn, and David Givens, a free agent signee last March, is recovering from a serious knee injury.

UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENTS: WRs Drew Bennett and Bobby Wade; DTs Robaire Smith and Rien Long; QB Kerry Collins; S Donnie Nickey; RB Chris Brown; OT Seth Wand; LB Peter Sirmon.

RESTRICTED FREE AGENTS: G Jacob Bell; Cs Justin Geisinger and Eugene Amano; LBs Robert Reynolds and Colby Bockwoldt; TEs Ben Hartsock and Casey Cramer; DTs Randy Starks and Tony Brown.
