Baltimore Ravens Team Needs - 2007 NFL Draft and Free Agency
 Sponsors

Offensive Line - Baltimore doesn't have a whole lot of needs, but their interior offensive line isn't particularly strong. Center Mike Flynn will turn thirty-three before the opening of next season, and the veteran doesn’t have a legitimate backup. Baltimore must find a backup center for the time being, but the ultimate intent will be to find Flynn’s replacement.

Wide Receiver - Derrick Mason isn't getting any younger, and it's questionable whether any of the young guys can be paired long-term with Mark Clayton as the starter.

Quarterback - McNair probably has one more year left. Bringing a young guy into the mix now wouldn't be a bad thing. Kyle Boller isn’t working out as planned. In February, McNair will be thirty-four years of age, and with his style of play, his body must feel even older so they have to find his replacement.

Running Back - Mike Anderson will be thirty-four next season, so he’s also not the answer. After Anderson, Musa Smith gives the team depth, but he probably isn’t a number one back. The Ravens are probably thinking running back early in the draft with the release of Jamal Lewis.

Cornerback -
Samari Rolle is probably the weakest link on the Ravens defense and could use a youngster to push him

Baltimore Ravens Free Agency Notes:

If the Ravens lose Adalius Thomas, they'll need a linebacker to fill his place on the league's top-ranked defense. Baltimore could also find itself short of offensive tackles if Pashos leaves, especially if perennial Pro Bowler Jonathan Ogden retires. Other positions on the offensive line also need attention after guards Keydrick Vincent and Edwin Mulitalo missed significant time with injuries. The Ravens also are looking for a running back with release of Jamal Lewis, although they could re-sign Lewis for less money

UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENTS: LBs Adalius Thomas and Tim Johnson; RBs Musa Smith, Ovie Mughelli and Nick Luchey; WR Alex Bannister; DT Aubrayo Franklin: DE Jarret Johnson; OT Tony Pashos; DB Gerome Sapp.

RESTRICTED FREE AGENTS: WRs Devard Darling and Clarence Moore; KR B.J. Sams
