The
Jets went for quality over quantity in
this draft, their grade is less a
reflection of the players they got than
an indictment of how much they gave up
to get them. Revis and Harris will most
likely be immediate starters and Bender
and Stuckey are both very decent
prospects. Bender could even develop
into a pro bowl tackle eventually

Darrelle Revis
CB
Pittsburgh
Analysis
Cornerback was
a top need and the Jets
landed one of the best
corners in the draft.
They gave up too much to Carolina for this
pick. Revis is an
excellent athlete, a
good playmaker and has
the skills to fit well
in Eric Mangini's Cover
2 scheme. They must have
really liked Revis because CB
Leon Hall was still available and most
had Hall rated higher
Darrelle Revis amazing punt
return vs West Virginia one of
the top plays of the year.

Pat Kirwan's Analysis
The Jets trade up
yet again to get a
strong inside linebacker.
Jonathan Vilma is undersized
for that role, and will be a
more productive player with
Harris on the field next to
him inside. He's 245 pounds,
he'll probably play in the
NFL at 250. Harris is the
second best inside
linebacker in this draft,
only rated behind Patrick
Willis so the trade up was
necessary, but a third and a
fourth while picking up a
7th to swap places with the
Packers seems steep.

Jacob Bender
OT
Nicholls State
Analysis
Bender was a
late riser up the draft
boards and was highly rated
by Mel Kiper. Bender was a
division IAA All-American
who at 6-6 and 316 lbs has
the size and was a four-year starter at
left tackle at Nicholls
State. He’s got everything
you want -- size, speed and
strength.

Chansi Stuckey
WR
Clemson
Analysis
Stuckey
battled injuries in 2005 and
2006 so he didn't run well
at the combine (4.56), but
he was a two time All-ACC
first team selection He's a
really good route runner
with good hands. He catches
the ball in traffic as well
and is not afraid to go
across the middle.
