Indianapolis Colts Draft Recap - 2007 NFL Draft
What can you say. When you are picking last, you aren't going to get one of the top ten players. However the Colts had arguably a great draft. Offensive tackle Tony Ugoh was considered a possible first-round talent, Anthony Gonzalez has the ability to take over for Stokely easily enough, even third rounder Daymeion Hughes was in some first rounds before the combine and his slow time. Really this draft fills the holes they wanted to fill very nicely. Nothing fancy, no huge impact players, but they really just needed to replace the role players they lost, and they did that.

Overall Grade: B+

Rd Sel# Player Pos. School
1 32 Anthony Gonzalez WR Ohio State
 Analysis
Gonzalez has great speed. He's a player who will catch the ball going over the middle and really creates matchup problems who also never gives up on a play(see video). In that offense he might emerge as rookie of the year.

Overall Value: 4  Pick Value: 4  Bust factor: 4

2 42 Tony Ugoh G Arkansas
 Analysis
Ugoh is very athletic at 6' 4" 305 lbs, he really didn't even play year round football at Arkansas as he played Track believe it or not. With a few years of strength training and work he could even be a tackly. Great upside.

3 95 Daymeion Hughes CB California
 Analysis
His only problem is that he ran a horrible slow 4.67 second 40 at the combine But in Indy's cover 2 he will be a star,. His production doesn't say "slow"

3 98 Quinn Pitcock DT Ohio State
 Analysis
Pitcock is not a great athlete, but makes up for it by being very competitive. He had eight sacks last season and you wont run through his lanes.

4 131 Brannon Condren FS Troy
 Analysis
Condren (6-0 7/8, 208; 4.47) really worked out well at his Pro Day. At Troy, he was a dominant player. He’ll play well in Indy's defense.

4 136 Clint Session OLB Pittsburgh
 Analysis
Session got drafted on what he did at Pitt’s Pro Day. He can play outside, he can run and he’s a very, very good special-teams player (that’s what they’re looking for at this point in the draft). He's 5-11 and 236 pounds, but he has 4.57 speed.

5 169 Roy Hall WR Ohio State
 Analysis
Here’s a true sleeper. He had to play behind Santonio Holmes, Ted Ginn and Anthony Gonzalez. He ran a 4.41 at his Pro Day.

5 173 Michael Coe CB Alabama State
Analysis
More impressive than his seven interceptions is his 25 pass breakups. The intriguing thing about him is that he’s a cornerback who’s over 6 feet tall who was still available at the end of Round 5.

7 242 Keyunta Dawson DE Texas Tech
Pick Analysis
Dawson is a very good pass rusher who had 19.5 career sacks while in college.
