Seattle Seahawks Draft Recap - 2006 NFL Draft
The good news is that when you are the NFC Champion the chances are you don't need a whole lot out of that draft class.  The bad news is that's exactly what the Seahawks got. Not much.

Overall Grade C-

Rd Sel# Player Pos. Ht. Wt. School
1 31 Jennings, Kelly CB 5-11 179 Miami (Fla.)
Jennings was a frustrating player to grade because he is clearly athletic enough to be a good starting cornerback in the NFL. But his lack of size/strength and inconsistent technique hinders his ability to be consistently productive
2 63 Tapp, Darryl DE 6-1 251 Virginia Tech
Tapp is a strong and compitive defensive end who consistently plays solid at the point of attack. Does a great job of playing with knees bent, good leverage and a wide base, getting arm extension to hold his ground against run blocks...more
4 128 Sims, Rob G 6-3 320 Ohio State
Sims was a productive and versatile college offensive lineman who started at both tackle (2004) and guard (2005) throughout his career.
5 163 Kirtman, David FB 6-0 232 Southern California
Kirkman is a well-rounded fullback who did a solid job of contributing to the USC offense as a lead blocker, inside runner and receiver out of the backfield.
7 239 Plackemeier, Ryan P 6-3 252 Wake Forest
Plackmeier set himself apart from the competition at the Combine, as he boomed several of his punts, including seven out of 10 punts with hang times of 4.5 seconds or more. He was not as accurate on his directional punts as you would desire and can over-extend at times
7 249 Obomanu, Ben WR 6-1 206 Auburn
Obomano is a good athlete with the very quick feet to get off the ball fast, can close the cushion quickly, and has a burst out of his cuts to get separation consistently.
