Sinorice
Moss was a great value pick in the
second round as some had him going in
the late first and gives the Giants a
potential replacement for Amani Toomer
in the future. Moss can help on special
teams right away as well. Mathias
Kiwanuka gives New York an eventual
replacement for Michael Strahan although
many think he would have been around
later int he second round we aren't so
sure about that. Guy Whimper, the team's
fourth-round pick, is a former tight end
who has good feet. In a year or two, he
will be a starter.
Draws comparisons to Philadelphia's Jevon Kearse for his explosive burst and
ability to instantly close on a quarterback.
Maybe the best pure pass rusher in the draft.
Physical freak who runs a 4.6 40. Kiwanuka's
strength is his ability to get to the quarterback.
Kiwi finished the 2005 season with 49 tackles while
leading BC with 9.5 quarterback sacks and 15.5 TFL.
He set a BC school record with 37.5 career sacks...more
Sinorice Moss may be one of the fastest players in
college football and has a knack for making big
plays. The younger brother of Santana Moss; they
both share comparable size and speed. That is where
the comparisons end. Sinorice might never be a
number one receiver like his brother but he will
make a huge contribution to any team as a third or
fourth receiver or on special teams very much like
Dante Hall does for the Chiefs...more
Gerris is an
interesting prospect who still has some upside if he
can commit to a single position and be allowed to
develop. He is a big hitter and solid tackler.
Probably not going to pay dividends in the first
year, but could develop into an all pro given time...more
Cofield is a good
athlete with the very quick feet
and playing speed to chase down
plays in pursuit, the thing is
he is always pursuing because he
does not sense the snap
consistently and is usually a
beat late moving at the snap,
which hinders his ability to get
backfield penetration
consistently.
Whimper is a huge
offensive tackle with the thick
build and long arms to be a
physical presence. When he plays
aggressively and attacks the
defensive line, he has the
strength to get movement on
in-line run blocks.
Peprah is a
tough, hard-nosed safety who
consistently flies upfield fast
in run support and can be a
strong and physical tackler when
he bends his knees and stays
over his feet.
McPhearson is a
very quick and explosive
athlete. He has shown the
ability to plant, drive and
close fast on passes in front of
him, and can use his front arm
to break up the pass well.
