Minnesota
did some good things with the backfield
in this draft Cedric Griffin is a good
addition to the cornerbacks and should
be able to step into the nickel role as
a rookie. In the future, he could
develop into a top-notch player who
pushes for the No. 2 cornerback job.
Chad Greenway is a good productive
outside linebacker who should solidify
the position opposite Ben Leber. With
this many 2nd rounders though they
should not have had to reach so far.
Tarvaris Jackson??
Greenway is a great
tackler, he will rarely miss a
tackle. His speed allows him to
drop back into coverage as well
as anyone, and he can run with
any tight end in the league.
Greenway should be a true
sideline-to-sideline linebacker
in the NFL and is extremely
underrated on most draft boards.
His speed and aggression may
lead him to over-pursue plays
early on in his career, but he
just so football smart and
coachable that that wont be a
problem for long...more
Griffin is a tall
cornerback with the good
athletic ability that is hard to
find in a 6-foot corner. He has
long arms and good play
strength, which help him to jam
receivers to slow their release.
Cook is a huge
center who is a surprisingly
effective blocker. He has the
quick feet to get off the ball
and into blocks quickly. He gets
through the line of scrimmage
and can seal block linebackers
out of the play well.
Jackson is a very
intriguing prospect who has
enough size, a strong arm and
the ability to be an accurate
passer, but needs to throw with
better technique more
consistently in order to develop
