The
Marcedes Lewis pick fills a
pressing need at tight end and gives
Byron Leftwich another receiving option.
Maurice Drew was a stretch in the second
round. He's a speedy addition who will
help the return game, but he has size
issues and isn't a realistic option as a
future starter
Marcedes Lewis's size makes him a great downfield
target, especially with his ability to go up and get
a ball he has incredible athleticism for his size
and excellent body control and has probably the best
hands of any tight end in the nation, rarely
dropping a ball that comes his way...more
Maurice may be small, but he is stout and packs a
punch. His listing at 5-7 is a reach to say the
least, but he is a fireplug who has good speed and
is very tough to tackle.
Maurice Drew will be a valuable performer for some
team in the NFL. His playmaking ability in a variety
of roles will be attractive to a lot of teams. He
will likely never be an every down back, but should
be a standout as a change of pace back and return
man...more
Ingram is an
instinctive linebacker who
consistently is around the ball
and makes plays; he really
sniffs out and disrupts the
screen pass very well. He is a
highly competitive player who
consistently hustles and chases
hard after the ball carrier in
pursuit.
Hawkins is an
undersized defensive end who was
highly productive at Illinois
State through all-out effort and
competitiveness, but he lacks
the explosiveness and playing
speed to be as consistently
productive in the NFL.
Webb is a junior
who came out early for the 2006
NFL Draft and definitely could
have really helped himself by
staying for another season at
Florida, because right now he is
a raw football player and much
more of an athlete than a
cornerback.
