The
Colts got the man they targeted in the
first round, a replacement for Edgerrin
James, not that anyone can replace the
Edge, but Addai is faster than James and
can block and catch so should be
adequate in the system. Cornerback Tim
Jennings and linebacker Freddie Keiaho
both address needs, but they seemed to
be reaches in the second and third
rounds, respectively.
Joseph is a well
rounded running back with solid
size, and is tough to bring
down. He runs tough between the
tackles, and continues to fight
for extra yardage. He also has
good enough speed to get to the
outside and turn it up field. Addai’s best asset though may be his
versatility, as he also displays excellent hands out
of the backfield. He plays slower than his timing
though and some question his size as well...more
Jennings is a
good athlete with the quick
feet, hips and athleticism to
cover receivers well all over
the field. He does a good job of
breaking and closing on passes
in front of him from zone
coverage, can break up passes
with his front arm or by making
the hard hit right as the ball
arrives.
Keiaho is a quick
and athletic linebacker with the
speed to chase down plays from
sideline to sideline. An
aggressive player that attacks
the play and fills the hole fast
and hard, which lets him disrupt
some inside runs in the
backfield before they can get
started.
Toudouze is a
very quick-footed offensive
lineman, which helps him to get
off the ball and set to block
very quickly and, when he is
aggressive punching, he can jolt
the defensive lineman, stop him
in his tracks and pin him on the
line of scrimmage.
Bethea is a good
athlete with the ability to make
plays all over the field. His
foot quickness and playing speed
give him sideline range vs. the
run and the pass.
Rushing is a
quick-footed cornerback who has
shown the agility and feet to
plant, drive and close quickly
on passes in front of him and
can use his front arm decently
to break up passes.
