This
is an extremely hard draft to judge. If
Williams can stay out of trouble, it's a
good draft, but from every indication
that may be a problem long term as he
tends to gravitate towards what we call
Terrellitis. If he does, he is an
absolute steal at the 37th overall pick.
He can play cornerback or safety,
offering depth to both positions. You
also have to realize that John Abraham
is a part of this draft when looking at
it overall.
You will not find many
DB's better than Williams in
college football. He is a smart
and savvy player who has all the
physical tools to succeed at the
NFL level. He switched over to
cornerback from safety following
his Sophomore season and never
missed a beat. Excelling at both
positions he is a very physical
gifted athlete. Williams has
great size and outstanding
speed. He should be a high draft
selection, good chance he may
even be the top DB taken but
some question whether he will
play cornerback or safety in the
NFL...more
Based on his measurables, he is
a good sized back with the
explosiveness and top-end speed
to make big plays, but he just
never seems to actually explode.
Ojinnaka is a talented athlete
who has all the tools to become
a good starting offensive tackle
in the NFL, but he needs to
greatly improve his technique
and footwork and must block more
aggressively in order to play up
to his ability.
Prior to 2005, he was a backup
receiver and made his only
impact as a returner -- and even
in 2005 most of his big plays
were on special teams. However,
he is a very quick and elusive
runner who consistently makes
things happen when he gets the
ball with some space to work.
Shockley is a very interesting
prospect because not much was
expected of him entering the
only season as a starter, but he
grabbed people's attention with
his athleticism, ability to
throw accurately deep and
consistently have a knack for
making clutch plays when they
mattered most.
