Worst Of The Worst Bowl

Well the moment has finally arrived, the Worst of the Worst Bowl is here and there is excitement in the air. This should be an epic battle between two of the NFL’s All-Time Worst franchises. Both the ’71 Bills and ’60 Cowboys are coming off upset losses to their league’s respective #1 seeds, the ’90 Patriots and the ’76 Buccaneers. But now the pressure is on as we crown the 1st ever Worst of the Worst Champion…who will find a way to lose and get the crown?

This match up was anything but epic as the ’71 Bills opened the scoring on a 9-yard O.J. Simpson run. But then proceeded to show complete and utter ineptness in route to being routed 31-7. The loss secured the championship for the Bills and placed an exclamation mark on a solidly awful playoffs for them. So, everyone, stand up and cheer for the 1st Ever Worst of the Worst Champion the 1971 Buffalo Bills!

·         The annual owners meeting has brought about some rule changes but one thing won’t be changing…instant replay. The owners approved a 5-year extension it, which means 5 more years waiting and waiting to hear “upon further review there was no conclusive evidence so the call on the field stands”…gee, I can’t wait!

·         In the revolving door that is the middle of the New England Patriots defensive line, out goes the HEFTY Ted Washington and in comes the equally HEFTY
Robert...oops! I mean Keith Traylor. Hey, give me a break you try
telling those two BIG men apart!

·         Dennis Northcutt's agent, Jerome Stanley, has said his client will never wear the Cleveland Browns uniform again due to the fact that they are costing his client millions of dollars by not trading him to Baltimore. Huh? What? You got that all wrong Mr. Stanley...you cost your client millions by not DOING YOUR JOB and filling out the proper paperwork that would have allowed him to become a free agent. Don't try to deflect the blame on the team when it should be placed squarely in your lap. Besides why would the Browns trade Northcutt to a division rival? Especially the Ravens who won the division last year and who are only offering a5th round draft pick...I don't think so! Of course if the Terrell Owens fiasco has taught us anything all Northcutt and his agent have to do is whine and complain enough and he should get his way.
