Worst Of The Worst Playoffs

AFC Wildcard

#6 1981 Baltimore Colts (2-14) at #3 1971 Buffalo Bills (1-13)

The ’71 Bills didn’t disappoint in this one, they put on quite a show for a sellout crowd at War Memorial Stadium losing 22-0. Baltimore opened the scoring on a 42-yard field goal by Mike Wood. That pretty much clinched the game as the Bills played an awful game all around and allowed Baltimore to pretty much have their way both offensively and defensively. Baltimore racked up 211 yards on the ground and added 113 thru the air while piling up a 36:59-23:01 time of possession advantage. Buffalo was not as adept in their offense gaining only 82 yards on the ground and 85 thru the air. O.J. Simpson was held to 54 yards on the ground while his counterpart, Curtis Dickey racked up 110.

The 1971 Buffalo Bills showed tremendous ineptitude in this one and now have to be considered one of the favorites to take the Worst of the Worst crown. They move on to face the 1973 Houston Oilers (1-13) in the AFC Divisional Playoffs.
