March 30, 2007 Kobe Haters Just as former President Clinton and current President Bush have shown, no matter what feats they perform, they will always have a huge group of detractors. If Kobe scores 50 points, he becomes a ball hog and the attacks because of his MJishness. President Clinton balances the budget and he has done it on the backs of the military and using smoke and mirrors. Bush brings an economy out of a recession and it is still the worse economy since the middle ages. Some people can do not right, and as you can follow talk radio attacking Clinton, the mainstream media attacking Bush and many in sports attacking Kobe. Who did the Bulls play in the playoffs but a soft Utah team of Malone and Stockton? The MJ Bulls might be thought of as a heavyweight with no competition. Dallas Mavericks vs. MJ Chicago Bulls - The Bulls winning 72 games will be impressive and almost impossible to duplicate, but Mavs have a chance to win 70, and do so in a Western Conference far deeper with talent than anything the MJ Bulls ever faced since the decline of the old bad boy Pistons. If the Mavs fail to win the NBA championship, they will eclipse the Seattle Mariners who won all those games and lost to the Yankees in the playoffs. An incredible regular season combined without winning a championship equals failure. These Mavs, the current Spurs, even Phoenix and would defeat the MJ Bulls. If the Mavs falter in the playoffs, blame being in such a tough conference and not the coach or players. Portland Trail Blazers - Zach Randolph adds to his mystique by taking off for bereavement leave and instead spending the time at a strip club. Maybe Zach knows something about death and dying that the rest of us could learn. Instead of some somber mood and withdrawal, Zach celebrated as if his friend had been there. I know if I need help overcoming a death, Zach would be who I would want as my shrink instead of some Freudian nut wanting to know about my mother. New York Knicks - Continue to be the most dysfunctional organization this side of the Cricket team from India that had their coach murdered after losing. Why would anyone award an extension to Isaiah Thomas before the end of the season just because the team has a chance to qualify for the playoffs with a sub-.500 team and no body in their right mind and most even with mental problems would not hire or even allow Thomas near their team or players. The Knicks will continue to implode and be a fun team to beat for the rest of the league. Michael Ray Richardson - You would think Richardson's "big time Jew lawyers" would be able to help Richardson from his suspension for anti-Semitic remarks. Richardson clearly took meant no harm, and yet he will be punished because of political correctness. Because of what happened to Libby during the inquisition of not a crime but not remembering correctly, we have players who know why they should not speak anything but he most trivial dribble. Richardson helps society to discuss subjects that remain hidden and unspoken. If you read or hear the comments, clearly the intention was not to be anti-Semetic. Denver Nuggets - The best X-factor entering the playoffs as Iverson and Anthony appear to finally be gelling. If you have to play teams 5-8, this is the team to avoid. And if you happen to be stuck watching a first round series, and team playing the Nuggets will be the series to watch.
