It Just Doesn't Matter - Homogenization of Sports Talk

John Amaechi announces he is gay and it becomes the sports talk hottest topic. How many sports columnists and talk show hosts at any time had any sort of different opinion. They all ripped LeBron James for example for his comments, but in the end they all took the same position. Talk about right wing radio having the same issues and opinions, welcome to homogenized sports talk and writing. No wonder athletes do no get married to the same sex, without any real debate of the issues, this type of behavior will continue to be repressed. Until we have the debate, the only time athletes will be able to not hide their sexuality will after retirement. This remains a non-story, and one that only those who have an agenda on the left.

Portland Trail Blazers - Talk about off court problems dragging down a player, see the picture of Zach Randolph. The All-Star should-a-be that is not. Instead of Randolph and his 24 point 10 rebound average, the league insists on players without the off court problems. This is the syndrome of the Pink Elephant in the room that no one wants to discuss. Randolph despite being a knucklehead off the court, continues to be an All-Star on the court. Although you have to wonder if the NBA is sending a message that image counts and they will keep you in a god forsaken land as Portland if you do not tow the NBA line.

Boston Celtics - You can only hope this team does not win another game this season. Talk about a team that needs help from FEMA. The Celtics would do better digging up the late great Red, and putting him in the front office. You want to see the Oakland Raiders of the NBA, go out and watch the Celtics, which of course no does. Instead the Celtics manage to draw empty arenas and sink the NBA. At this point even Larry Bird at his advanced age would be an improvement.

Portland Trail Blazers - The Blazers have 3 of the hottest rookies and only one invite to the rookie game during the All-Star break. If the Blazers somehow manage to keep these players and not trade them for over the hill talent, the Blazers will be the next Phoenix. Maybe the NBA needs to start giving the Blazers some love and stop treating them as the weird uncle that is kept in the basement. The Blazers have moved past their awkward teen years and appear ready to once again make a run at being a team to watch before and during the playoffs.

Minnesota Timberwolves - Randy Foye ticketed for disorderly conduct because of some family fight at 2 am in the morning. He tried to stop his cousins from fighting by telling them to get out of the SUV (evil evil SUV's), and settle it. They fought and Foye claims he attempted to stop them. Foye will soon be sent to the Blazers for Roy to pay penance for his actions.

Allen Iverson - Time for AI to put on the sneakers and show the Nuggets that the 76'ers were wrong. So far AI has shown zero of his trademark toughness and instead appears to have gone soft and into some Hollywood type mode. AI needs to watch some Kobe highlights to motivate him. Instead of him game on the court, AI has become the Anna Nicole Smith off the court with the attention he wants for everything besides basketball. The 76'ers sent AI out west because it is tough out west, and so far AI has failed miserably at handling the west and the depth of talent.
