Parade? Several weeks ago, Kenny
Perry was the butt of many jokes in the
media for his decision to skip playing
the US Open at Torrey Pines because he
did not want to play in a 36 hole
qualifier and his personal distaste for
the layout. After winning the Memorial
tournament, Perry said he was not going
to change his schedule and that he would
continue his season motivated by his
desire to make the Ryder Cup team one
last time. At 48 years old, Perry would
likely not have another opportunity to
make a serious run at the team – much
less at a course that he loves in
Valhalla in his native Kentucky....

Toronto, Canada.
On June 12th, Martin
Brodeur, Sidney Crosby, Henrik Lundqvist and a handful of others are once
again award finalists. The three mentioned are no strangers to receiving
awards. Last year, Brodeur and Crosby were finalists for the Hart Trophy,
which Crosby won and Brodeur and Lundqvist were finalists for the Vezina
Trophy, which Brodeur went on to win.....

Story Behind the Garza-Navarro Meeting The Tampa Bay Sports Net has in its possession the
conversations between Rays’ pitcher Matt Garza and catcher Dioner Navarro on
the mound, when Garza got a close-up look at what Navarro wears on his face,
in the dugout when they met again and in the runway leading to the visitor’s
clubhouse.
Without anyone’s knowledge, a
miniature microphone was cleverly embedded in the catcher's mask padding and
every word was heard across the Gulf of Mexico (when you are in an area
loaded with 1,000-5,000 watt radio stations, you know you can hear them
further out in the water to the west than you do over land to the east).

John Franzone, a.k.a John the Maestro, has left a huge void inside the
stadium.
Having been inside the House of the Tilted Roof this entire homestand, there
has been something else that has been gnawing at me but I just couldn't put
my finger on it until Sunday's homestand finale with the White Sox....

which an umpire has obviously missed a call? Personally, I’ve
run out of fingers and toes to tally up.
All of us have been subjected to
making some sort of error in the course of our lifetime – sometimes we own
up to those mistakes, sometimes we just let it go. For the most part, our
errors don’t affect the outcome that it would in a professional game.
Umpires are only humans and they too
make mistakes… but when you look at the other sports, such as the NHL, NFL,
NBA, major tennis tournaments and even the NCAA – they all use a form of
